TEAMS

As Japan’s first professional volleyball team, we were established in October 2016. We participated in Japan’s top volleyball league “V.LEAGUE” from the 2017/18 season and won the championship (in the 3rd division) in our first year and then consecutively won the 2018/19 season. In the 2019/20 season, we moved up to V.LEAGUE DIVISION 2 (in the 2nd division) and took second place with 19 wins and 1 loss (2 games unplayed due to league discontinuation). Although we earned the right to play in the replacement match with V.LEAGUE 1st Division, the replacement match was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so we remained in the 2nd division. In the following 2020/21 season, we took second place in the same league, but we sadly lost to V1 Oita Miyoshi in the long-awaited replacement match, so remained in this division once again. In the 2021/22 season, we won the second division for the first time with an overwhelming record of 27 wins and 1 loss, but we lost to V1 VC Nagano by a small margin in the replacement match, so we could not be promoted. In the following 2022/23 season, we achieved the V2 consecutive victory with 25 wins and 2 losses, earned the right to participate in the 4th V Challenge match, and won the first match after winning the 5th set. Then we won the second game 3-1, which made us the first Hokkaido team to earn promotion to the Volleyball Top League V1.

VOREAS Hokkaido, the professional Volleyball team, consists of various unique players. The head coach has been Edo Klein (from Croatia), who has accumulated experience worldwide and led the team since our first year. The team slogan is “Children of the Revolution.” We put our wish to become children of the Revolution in the world of Volleyball in the future. We keep fighting bravely to become the top team with our will and attitude.

Wolves are actually very affectionate creatures who have been known to raise the children of different species, such as the case of a wolf raising a human child. They take care of their friends and family members and live together as a pack. Like the Wolves who survive in the harsh environment, we hope that VOREAS and the supporters who wear the uniform No.1 can walk together while imagining a bright future. We wish upon it.
